Neighbours 69

I did not go home for Christmas,I went home a bit earlier,in the first half of December. One of the best thing in going home is you are always welcome, nobody ever says they were never prepared for you.For this reason I don't call them to alert them of my travel plans.Mum is always the happiest. You know how mum calls and says she felt like talking to her son.Mothers have some special way to how they relate to each of their children.Dad calls too, yes,he will remind me that I should also be calling. He will call again because he forgot to tell me something,he does that three times. Finally he will remind me he his safaricom line is 24hours operational and will urge me to consider a yu-line which is cheaper,I wouldn't say much about the later.

Home really reminds me a lot,it reminds me of victories. The untold stories of resilience, hope and triumph.I meet people who ask me,''wewe ndio kale ka kijana kalikua kanatengeza baiskeli, ama ni ndugu yako?'',It always sound funny but true.I was short then,I was a little boy in primary school, juggling studies,'work' and fun(as a boy normally).I learnt the skill of repairing bicycles and did my best.Dad taught us to be honest while at it.With poverty people would easily complete your life's curve...it looks predictable. As a kid that too had much to do with self esteem issues as teenage set in.After class eight I closed the cycle mart chapter.Aint God grand!

Well how was your year,good/bad?,There is so much to be thankful for. There will always be challenges, there are moments we fail to see how everything will work out but hope is what you should never loose. At times behind every smile there's a story. On social media we are all doing fine, our relatives get A's,we go for lunch at posh hotels but in real life we get into mathrees and alight hapo kwa stage ya 'kwa chief'. Breath in,breath out..take life easy, everything will be ok.
To all who did their KCSE this year, whatever the outcome, life moves on.You as the owner of the results must deliberately try to make something out of them. You are champions, let nobody's opinion bring you down,do something and prove them wrong.

Before I conclude my last post(neighbours) for this year I must appreciate those people who work even during the holidays,ya'all are amazing people. When the city is deserted to the point a chameleon can cross the road safely without changing colours, while the hawkers who sell mali mali(but say marry marry) are on holiday and the guys selling 'anti illuminati' dvds arent selling but some great officers never closed, especially the police,to make sure we are safe.Si mungu awabariki.

It's been real, see ya'all in neigbours 2017..
