Lately I've come to realize the beauty to enjoying
life,it's all about what matters.First things first there is no S.I unit
for that.It varies.During Easter(that monday holiday),we had organized a
small come together for former campus room mates(plus amicus),we were 5
in number. The venue was the normal place. We had reconstituted the
ministerial allocations.I was an equal stakeholder in the chicken
procurement and processing.I was there to make sure there are no
'girrafe'chicken scenerios_that of multiple necks. This time there were
participants with some kitchen jargon to scare us.We are as strong and
courageous as Joshua of the Bible. We may not have had complicated names
for our meals but they tested good still, delicious to be precise.I would
have put here issues on how 'waru' was added and tea removed in that
budget but the matter is in 'court',we wont discuss it for now.My friend
has an absentee neighbour. The neighbour had a jiko,it is kept
outside,we had no jiko so..we 'borrowed' it and used in the chapati
business.Going by my latest expertise in lighting jikos,I need a
certificate.I can explain, having 5 elder siblings how could i know such
chores..Ofcourse I have all reasons not to know that. The only bad thing
about being a last born is being sent all over, yes that's why such
position holders are refered to as being 'rude'.You have to resist at
time.Back to the cooking,we cooked and enjoyed the food.It was not just
about food anyway. As I said earlier I was part of the Procurement
department. We went to buy (live) chicken. There was a mama with her son
at that 'supermarket'as I later started refering to her business.Am good
at beginning conversations,it doesn't have to be about weather.''Hii
supermarket yako inaitwaje?''I asked,with a not so serious face."Inaitwa
Joyland'' she replied. It was a holiday so the son was not in school,he
was there too. There is something in me that always stirs me,I had to ask
if that young boy is in school.I asked. The mother replied''Ako
shule, kwanza nimepeleka Academy..asome vizuri ndio asifanye kazi kama
hii nafanya''."Hio ni vizuri,asome..hata anaezafungua supermarket
kubwa'',I emphasized.I always support education.I think in her heart
that mama was happy that apart from just buying from her we appreciated
her noble cause of taking her son to school. That one day she will be
telling her son,''unakumbuka wale vijana walikuambia usome''.This is to
show respect to those parents who have gone that extra mile to get their
kids to school. It is a worthwile investment. So whenever I go to this ka
'small shop here at our hood and find this lady in the shop helping her
small girl do homework in the evening it always warms my heart. It says
to me that our country has a bright future. It always reminds me that one
day I went to check my KCPE results and I had led in our school. The
only funny bit is that the people who were there were trying to explain
to each other who I was.I was there but see,it was an 'Emmau's Avenue'
kind of story. If the one explaining never knew me...I was just another
teen,a playful one a 'fundi' the title I hated.I repaired
punctures, serviced bikes,hehe...am skilled.I was to dissapear for four
years to join High school. The high school experience was nice, where boys
were just boys..A.Munala would raise us to responsible citizens...story
for another day smile emoticon
Our loyal cats are back, lately I have been hearing multiple noises of cat fights.I hope those cats haven't started 'tribal' wars like some Kenyans on social media. No,cats are just cats, their only enemy is a rat...not enemy, just food, like pizza yes.Ooh poor rats, you are just food.
Finally I know we love jokes but please..lets be mindful of others,we all know the Chase bank story..its a difficult point for our bothers and sisters,if you don't have anything encouraging and constructive you will be considered wise in your silence other than open your mouth and confirm otherwise.
Successful week ahead
