Neighbours 51

Christmas was nice, imagine bringing the 'village' to the city.I don't know how the chicken community refer to 'us' lunjes;militia,militants..lol,only chicken know the answer.Back to our christmas, few of my friends and I embarked on a mission to look for some kienyeji chicken. That was a 'big department/ministry'',it had two able appointees.I was given the 'snacks' department;the one that deals with procurement and preparing of rice, tea and meat. You all know I have vast experience in these fields. There was the third department, that of Chapati production. This was also a sensitive docket,I didn't have Ole lenkus digits so we had two appointees, one was a mastery of that trade, the other was a youtube/facebook/google self proclaimed chapo chef.We also had to give tender for the supply of mandazi. You can now picture how our Christmas was.The ministries were many,so there were supporting people allocated lighter duties e,g kuwasha jiko, control of traffic in the house etc.Its funny how guys were struggling to light a jiko, thank God a neighbour volunteered to help us..this was after we ran out of newspapers, user manuals and warranty forms. The chicken were slaughtered elsewhere under the 'watchful eyes' of the respective departmental heads. They were later delivered under tight security, did i mention to you that the two guys in charge were frequent gym visitors.Chicken preparation was allocated to another guy,I heard he did food science, that was enough on his c.v to eliminate me in that docket. He lived to our expectation. The chicken tasted nice and delicious. The only thing that is still under investigation is the number of 'necks' that were present. Two chicken=2necks,but almost each one of us got a neck.I will not talk about my meals, they speak for themselves,am a guru in my field, only issues in serving..yes cups in bachelors cribs are 'internal challenges' we will not address here for now.The department of chapati had seemed to be well until at some point when the chapos exhibited 'crisps' like behavior, the matter is in 'court' so we will not discuss it here too.
Despite the above challenges Christmas was so nice,Our cats are very present, tougher than Nkaissery himself,I should deploy one of them to this 'boni forest' zone at a nearby undeveloped plot-there rats do all sorts of things including fighting,acrobatics,etc..No cat has ever gathered enough courage to visit. It looks like a war torn zone. That decision will be made next year,it scripted in my new year's resolutions.
It's a big thank you to the Neighbours' readers,I appreciate that you,yes you...reading this right now find time to read upto the end and at times it makes you smile.
Happy 2016
