I try not to miss midweek church services.Yesterday I managed to create
some time to rush to church,I was abit late.I just entered when the
speaker had been ushered to the pulpit. The Topic was 'Resilience' .The
speaker was my homie,i mean we have literally grown up with this guy as
our big bro.You see the kinda guy whose testimony you understand well
and can reasonate with. This sermon was on point.Coincidentally this week
my song of the week has been 'Sweet victory'
by Trip Lee.Been reading alot on this guy:he's a husband, father,
rapper, pastor ,author and kinda my agemate.Crazy enough he has some
medical condition that really has a tall order on him.Out of 24hours he
can only have 6 productive hours, the other hours are reigned by
fatique.In all this he says he has victory.As a practicing christian,am a
winner despite these major challenges I go through. This has really
challenged me,I see growth in many aspects and actually resilience and
my hope in God does not disappoint. My life in itself has been a journey
through different seasons..even tough ones..but am victorious. From that
cycle mart..boy oh boy..it was a long journey from repairing bikes, yes
those punctures..to high school,to repairing phones,I mean I share alot
with 'Mbugua' of faiba advert,I have almost been in every business.Lets
spare the story for another dayBack to our neighbourhood, you remember
Bob?,my neighbour on the second floor,we are good friends. We meet today
and He is like ''wewe ni mdosi wa ploti''."Kwa nini?” I enquired. He
explained that i have put a security light bulb which stays lit until
close to midnight.I just laughed.Did I say that I listen to music
together with my neighbours during the weekend, yes at volume 24 I can
listen to my music from outside the house. Then there is this kid I hear
during the night just callling mummy,mummy,mummy...like twenty times, ooh
I eagerly wait that day it will be my turn..thank God mummy is simple
to call than daddy...lol,and he's a boy.His mum must be a 'dettol
mum'.Until then let me enjoy this sleep that befriends me on the couch
while am watching news only to wake up when its sports newsFinally I
havent lost hope on our cat,i believe one day it walk majestically
'home' again.I can only keep hope alive.Najivunia kuwa (dot).ke
